Franklin Electric announces its latest industrial motor innovation, the new HydroDuty motor. This premium all stainless steel motor is designed for superior extended service in washdown and other corrosive environments. Typical applications for this motor include poultry, meat, seafood, and other food processing facilities, areas requiring frequent sanitation procedures subject to high pressure cleaning, areas of high humidity, and chemical processing environments.

HydroDuty offers a new combination of features not previously found in the industry. Encapsulated windings, a moisture-proof splice kit, an epoxy coated rotor with stainless shafts, internal and external shaft seals, double sealed ball bearings, and an etched nameplate all work together to protect HydroDuty from the corrosive effects of water and other fluids. In addition, Franklin has added unique, patent-pending features such as a potted lead hole, a shell flared on both ends, a stainless steel shaft slinger, a drip groove, and a hydrophobic and oleophobic breather vent to add to the robustness of the motor. This unique combination of innovative features makes HydroDuty the industry’s longest lasting washdown motor.

Franklin Electric, a technical leader in electric motors, drives, and controls, is the world’s largest manufacturer of submersible water and fueling systems motors, a manufacturer of underground fueling systems hardware and flexible piping systems, and a leader in engineered industrial motor products.
